A few days ago, Logic announced his fifth album titled “No Pressure” and told us that the album will be his last, and he plans to retire afterward and focus on being a great father. Logic is undoubtedly one of the biggest rappers to ever play the game. His song “1-800-273-8255” was his biggest hit ever. He just announced that he has now signed a deal with Twitch.
However, Logic has entered into an exclusive Seven-Figure deal with streaming giant Twitch which makes Logic the company’s first official music partner. You can follow Logic on Twitch here.
According to a press release issued by the company,
Logic will stream weekly on his Twitch channel which will include a mixture of in-studio sessions, special guests, AMA style formats, and gaming, twitch
In an interview with The Verge, Logic said ” I’M GOING TO BE ON TWITCH, HELPING PEOPLE AFTER THEY’VE HAD A DAY OF PROTESTING OR POLITICAL DEBATES, UNWIND AND LAUGH AND SMILE.
I think it’s a powerful platform that allows me to connect with my fans in the best way possible. And the safest way possible for someone in my positionLOGIC
Logic says that his streams on Twitch will be the place where if you want to interact with him, you can do it there. He will be there not to forward some political causes but to help people have a good time and have fun.
Although Logic claims that his deal is similar to the deals streamers like DrLupo, Pokimane, etc have, it is no news that Twitch is planning to go big on Music. They have been keeping their eyes open and have been looking for artists ever since COVID-19 changed our world. It won’t be surprising if new artists also join the platform following this news.
Since his arrival on the platform, Logic has over 55k followers and is scheduled to go live on Tuesday, July 21 at 5 PM PT / 5:30 AM IST / 8 PM ET.
Nintendo: The Legend of A Small Card Shop
Fusajiro Yamauchi. Does this name ring a bell? This man was the brains behind one of the biggest names in the gaming industry “Nintendo”. Nintendo brought along with it a culture which the whole world adopted with open arms. It quickly became a house-hold name in all things related to gaming.
Originally, Nintendo was called “Nintendo Koppai” (Koppai is playing cards in Japanese) and they started out with manufacturing a card game called Hanafuda. The days of video games were still quite far away, but Nintendo started building an image for itself. The founder, Yamauchi took great pride in the card game’s quality and design which brought the early Nintendo great popularity with its patrons. During the 17th century, Japan cut all ties with western world, and import and distribution of playing cards led to serious gambling problems in the country. Hence, the authorities decided to bring down the sword and banned all the imports of playing cards to tackle this situation. Surprisingly, Japanese folks have always been known for their clever innovations, and soon after the ban homegrown card games were developed. Yamauchi saw this as a golden opportunity to produce and sell high quality playing cards and thus, down a narrow side street in the ancient Japanese city of Kyoto, Nintendo was born.
Over the coming decades, Nintendo transitioned in other non-card games and toy production. The most inspiring thing about this company was the fact that it always kept it’s pace at par with the evolving technology. It soon partnered with SONY to bring out the initial versions of electronic games. On the other side of the world, in the 1970s Magnavox Odyssey was released and this was the last piece of puzzle for Nintendo to release the NES, and the rest is history. The very first console built by Nintendo was called Color TV Game 6. This was nothing more than a pong game, but it sparked a revolution that no one saw coming. Around this time, Father of Modern Video Games, Shigeru Miyamoto also hopped on board and quickly became one of the most important players in the video game industry. But Nintendo was not going to stop at just this stage, it released a new generation of consoles, the Nintendo DS, a two screen device with multiplayer capability and the Nintendo Wii, with its motion sensitive control allowed the company to expand its reach and influence.
Since its humble beginnings, Nintendo has risen to dizzying heights. Its successes are undeniable, but now it competes in a market packed with creativity and innovation. PlayStation, X-Box, high end PC gaming rigs have allowed both veteran and beginner developers to innovate in exciting and challenging ways. Also, Nintendo has established itself as an industry leader and a future-thinking creator, with gaming at the core of its origins. All that remains to be seen is how far this card shop can go.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare Should Be Renamed As Storage Space
Bravo 6, going dark, and there comes Captain Price. When Activision rolled out with the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare in fall 2019, it had huge expectations. Especially, with the return of the beloved character of Captain John Price, (who has been in the Modern Warfare series since the beginning), fans expected something huge. Well, huge was exactly what we got, it was just too literal.
Modern Warfare at its launch, already had a huge file size. Now, it was not an issue at all as every AAA title is huge in size and that was an easy pill to swallow. Especially, since this new game had groundbreaking dynamics, and never seen before gameplay mechanics that it left the community in awe. There were discussions everywhere stating how good this new title was, and how different it was from every other title in this humongous series. Overall, it gave the gamers a whole new immersive experience, and was revered as one of the best Call of Duty titles. Coupled with the battle royale mode that came out in a couple of updates later, received a big thumbs up from the whole community.
This is where things get a bit more complicated. Every person who plays video games has been at this place at one point of time, when one or more softwares (especially other games) have to be deleted from the storage device to make space for a new release, and there is nothing wrong with that. But when that number of deletions keep on growing every 30-40 days, then it is a problem. And voila! That’s Modern Warfare for you. The developers are releasing these massive updates in about every 40 days. Now, there are absolutely no problems in having updates. In fact, updates are a must for fresh content, bug fixes and otherwise, overall user experience. Also, some of these massive updates were justified, for instance, the battle royale update. It was justified to have an update of 20 gigs. But just to update the season change, an update of 37 gigs is required!
And with these back to back massive updates, storage spaces on the systems are running out. This game continues to balloon up and takes up over 200 gigs of space after release of another hefty patch. Yes, that was not a typing error, it does take up more than 200 gigs and developers show no signs of stopping. Moreover, not everyone has the systems with highest specifications, and this game is extremely CPU intensive. So, with every update, many users have to wait for another patch release which optimizes the game a little bit, but before we can blink, and things stabilize, another massive update comes.
There is no doubt in the fact that this game is amazing. Personally speaking, I have been a Call of Duty fanboy since forever, but the developers really need to come out with a way to solve this issue. One solution could be a way to delete files which are required to play Campaign and Special Ops modes, because taking an eagle’s eye view, not many people replay these after completing this twice or thrice. But a solution is really required for this issue, this title has already exceeded file size limits, and if it keeps on expanding, the users are going to be left with no other option than uninstalling and eventually decreasing the player base.

Is The New Spotify Based Streaming Shroud’s, Ninja’s & Dr. Disrespect’s New Platform?
A lot has been happening in the streaming world lately. There is definitely a storm brewing and as of now, we have just caught a few glimpses of it. With Dr. Disrespect’s ban from twitch, mixer calling it quits, Shroud and Ninja being free agents and of course, “Code Name – Brime”, the streaming world is going to witness a new Big Bang soon.
Firstly, Microsoft’s streaming platform “Mixer” called it quits and decided to join hands with Facebook Gaming. Essentially, what the major take away here is the fact that two of the biggest names in the streaming industry, Shroud and Ninja were rendered as free agents post this deal.
Now, this term “free agent” holds a lot of value to it, what this basically means is that any other platform can get them to sign a contract and with the fanbase as large as theirs, viewership numbers are going to spike through the roof! Also, the mysterious ban on Dr. Disrespect’s channel is just fanning the flames. But this is not all, cue in BRIME. This low-key twitter based account “Code Name – Brime” is in the limelight these days, or to put more clearly, it is just caught in the rumor mill.
Allegedly Shroud, Ninja and Dr. Disrespect have all agreed to join Brime. The story of Brime would be clear in a moment, just follow along. So, building on this allegation, Twitch apparently caught Doc recruiting other streamers for this new platform, hence the ban and the quick shut down of his channel. But why was the community left to speculate on free will without any word from Doc or Twitch? Non Disclosure Agreement is keeping everyone from talking about this.
Now comes the elephant in the room, BRIME. Firstly, I’ll repeat myself. Brime just caught in the Rumor Mill. A cryptic message on Doc’s stream said “Prepare for 29th”. This was the date when the twitter handle of brime called “Code Name – Brime” started answering questions from the fans and followers. Also, digging a bit deeper, Brime’s twitter handle just follows 15 people, which consists of Shroud, Ninja, Doc and some streamers whose contracts were terminated with Mixer , hold your horses, there were streamers like Lupo who resigned with Twitch, in a tweet followed by brime it made very clear that its following does not imply anything.
Let’s get some debunking done. Talking about the ban, if the allegations were true about Doc trying to poach streamers from Twitch, some credible sources would have talked about that, the fact that nothing of that sort came to surface cuts that loose end. Doc’s ban implies something more serious, because on simple contract breach issues, this level of silence would not happen. Also, Doc signed a multi million dollar deal with Twitch in March 2020, and suddenly terminating such a lucrative contract to join hands with a new platform and stealing a few streamers on the way out makes absolute 0 sense. Now, regarding the free agent scenario. Shroud and Ninja must have had a heads up about that situation way beforehand and for them to just start with a new streaming service does not make any sense. Also, this allegedly new “platform” must have really deep pockets to even initiate the negotiations, unless they have $50 million lying around, there is no way that the biggest stars of the streaming industry would join hands with them.
Anything can happen in the bizarre year of 2020, but the rumors of Brime landing 3 of the biggest streamers linking to the ban is baseless. In fact, Brime.com is still for sale for $50,000 and its twitter account was made in June 2020. Even if there were some base for these rumors, at least it would not be happening overnight. A tweet from Brime further gave clearity to the situation which shows that this is not a tech-baked play.
